Until the early 90s, the project definitely somewhere near the unsexy end of the spectrum. But now, with the rise of downsizing and outsourcing, has become one of the hot disciplines. Professional Associations U.S. Project Management Institute has quadrupled over the past decade, and Microsoft claimed recently to over two million users around the world have the software project management. The reasons for this growth are simple. Project management is about managing “projects”, that is, unique pieces of work (as opposed to execution). Downsizing, outsourcing and accelerated changes have led to more work done on an ad hoc basis for specific projects. The Fast Forward MBA in Project Management I> a manual for leading business people with a flair for the basics, and enough time (or desire) to go back to school designed to learn more. Written by Eric Verzuh, President of Versatile Corporation, a leading consulting firm for project management, this is not a heavy academic text.
Like the rest of the Fast Forward series, this book is designed to allow the reader to extract as much information as quickly as possible. There is a strong use of graphics with tables, graphs and bullet points with leaders of the Cross. Important passages are highlighted in bold and / or bearing the words keywords i>. If you read it, you realize that there is no magic to the project management, but only common sense applied with care. The book covers all the basics such as planning, time-tabling, resource allocation and the amount of estimated prices, and programming. But he also recognizes that there is necessarily a political dimension to every project, regardless of their size. So she has sections on important, how to ensure that all stakeholders are kept in the project “on board” and the importance of communication.
Verzuh says in his introduction, “Every project participant member of the Executive’s part-time sponsor, is still in effect when he or she understands the fundamentals of project management.” In Indeed, this book about a management is that every manager should read, if he or she has a project or not. – Alex
The Fast Forward MBA in Project Management

I bought some books on project management. They range from drought, work on self-praise of vanity academic cryptic, disorganized and insultingly simplistic (including anything with the word “idiot” in the title).
This is the first book I read that I have adequately taken into account both the experience of the Prime Minister and those of the field.
The format is great. For someone who has a new project management, it supports a logical step by step flow with appropriate visuals and great case studies. For the PM, it is seasoned with a repository of problem solving techniques, examples and formulas. This is not a book that you are ready to loan to your friends (my copy was provided that one ear more “dog” in my collection).
pursuing a small business, but many of my clients are large enough (of the company, not … nevermind). The words of “The Fast Forward MBA in Project Management” is adaptable to companies of all sizes and sizes of projects, case studies range from the development of the Boeing 767-400, like Safeco Field in Seattle keeps its grass green. If the rest of the “Fast Forward MBA series as strong, results-oriented as this book, I may end up in the collection.

Verzuh book is at the head of his class. We recently launched a project management seminar here in Barbados and has been used throughout the text of the seminar. It is also a reference texts on our Project Management Professional Diploma Program. What most
heady and highly theoretical writers on project management in general not more than 500 pages, 300 pages Verzuh made. He has succeeded in demystifying project management and to present them in a way that everyone could follow there with an interest in the field. Therefore, it would be totally inappropriate to write this book in academic jargon. For the same reason, it is a perfect complement some of the more abstract academic texts that are there. We particularly found the chapter on
the project structure is very useful, since most fans will probably buy software and intuitively without fully understanding the control logic and the problem behind it. Verzuh text will definitely help you better understand the logic of the software.
The text is highly recommended and our students love it.

During my favorite text on the display of project management project management is, this treasure of skills and techniques handly PM is my constant companion. It is more than a quick reference guide – it contains lots of information I came across another book project, such as measures, estimation techniques and advice on a number of questions, PM be presented concisely. In other words, this book has a lot of meat and not fluff.
If you start a project that I recommend viewing project management as your first book. However, if you are a practicing and experienced project managers, this is “must-have”. And the price is right! When was the last time there was a decent book on project management (or any other technical or commercial subject), set at $ 15. 00? Price aside, the book value of the content and the fact that it includes project management, as it must be considered: the work breakdown structures, risk management, earned value and other controls. I recommend this book.

I work for a major airline in New York and I am currently involved in the certification program to become a project manager. I study with the group and will be completed exactly PMBOK Project Management Module of courses including the simulation test. I bought several books on project management, but I found this: Fast Forward MBA in Project Management, to be most useful. Each chapter is divided
broken in important areas that can accommodate any skill level project manager. The only chapter that was particularly informative and helpful to me in terms of: the work breakdown structure (Chapter 6). Once a new student understands the concept of the PSP you have a solid basis for what is project management. I
constant reference in this book, I continue my studies and learn a new project management. There is some MUST HAVE title for a project manager added.
