OK first of all if this is a non profit organization there is no need to hide your idea. If it is a good idea and helps with education then spread the word. (Unless someone could make a profit from it).

Second find friends and family that can join your board. You’re not going to be right about what is good and bad all the time the help is good. Just make sure they are like minded.

Third if you wont you can start a non profit with yourself filling in all the positions. I know it sounds strange and it will limit the grants but it can be done.

I would stick with people you know and go for it. If they are like minded then even if they do out vote you on one or two small things then so what it’s probably for the best. Interview them first and let them know your ideas, hopes, and your dreams. Then they will let you know their opinions and that would tell you if you’re on the same page or not.

Best of luck.
