Is printing money, “quantatative easing”, debasing the currency just an additional form of protectionism?
The countries say they don’t want to return to protection but money printing and debasing the currency is just another way you make your exports more competative relative to others in another currency, thereby making theirs more uncompetative. This will become an arms race to the bottom as all countries race to debase.
