How do I claim gas cost for a house-based enterprise?

I am in the approach of beginning a enterprise out of my home which will call for me driving once in a whilst. How do I claim it? Do I get a receipt for gas whenever I place gasoline in my auto on the days when I am making use of it for activities connected to my company. Or do I record the mileage from point A to Point B-like if I go to the print store?
Keep track of your mileage and take the standard IRS mileage allowance.
I just told my tax preparer, but I would do both keep the receipt and keep up with the mileage.
