How can I start business with $ 50 k ?

Hi Fellows,
Any Idea how, and what kind of business I can start with $ 50 thousand dollar?
I live in Michigan. I’m expert in CNC Programming, designing, manufacturing, and anything related to cutting material. Unfortunately I can’t start business like this with 50 k, because machining & manufacturing jobs need away more than 50k. Also I want to mention that the economy in MI is very bad. I’m really interested in giving it a shot, start new business, and see where it leads me. I appreciate any Idea. Any Idea will help.

You could become a manufacturers representative and sell products such as machines, tooling, materials, et cetera on commission. As an independent rep, you can represent more than one product category, just not competitors in the same category.
You could start a consulting business for manufacturers.
This is what I would do:
1. Take the legal steps to make your business legit, licensing, etc..
2. Take that 50K and spend 5 of it to make a really nice website. Nothing crazy just 5 pages or so with lots of content about your self and your expertise.
3. Then take 10K and use it to market your business online through various techniques.
if you do this correctly you will be able to reach out nationally and locally in a very quick time fram without spending your entire nest egg. Once your consulting business takes off the sky is the limit at that point.

You really do not need 50k to start a business. I suggest you look into starting a home based business. Most home based businesses cost under $ 500 to start. You have the same income opportunity is a traditional business without all the over head expenses. Just about everything you use in your home, cell phones, land lines, Internet, electricity, gas, car expenses etc, all become tax write off’s.
I’m not sure where your interests lies other then what you mentioned. I don’t know of anyone who has this as a home based business, therefore I can’t refer you over to anyone on this. But here are a few ideas that you can take a look at. I’ll also tell you what my husband and I have been doing from our home with our home based business for over six years now. We save people money and make money at the same time. Every single month these people pay their bills, we make a percentage over and over again each month.
How many people do you know, or know of around the world that uses one or more of these services or products? . A lot of money involved in this industry.
When we started our non profit organization called SOFTIN funding is so hard to find with the compeitition involved. Every non profit organization is out there trying to find donors through large corporations. We could make the monthly income to well support our non profit organization based on what we knew and how much we made from our business. So we started a funding program through our business for our non profit as well as it’s becoming a major funding source for other non profit organizations.
