I got a 4 month old beagle puppy about a week ago and have undertaken the potty training task, which is actually going fairly well and she hasn’t had an accident in her crate yet. Other than that, she runs around outside and goes for walks but when she gets inside and in the basement after pottying, she starts biting anything nearby and running (and SLIDING) back and forth across the floor with it – gloves, shoes, bags, and earlier she latched onto my hand with the same force.

I’ve read other sites on how to deal with puppy biting but squealing just gets her even more riled up and she gets really distracted and doesn’t listen to NO BITE. Walking out of the room just makes her scratch at the door until you come back.

I don’t know what my options are, I’d like to train her more as well but if I use treats she knows better and just jumps up and tries to get the hand with them in it.

Any suggestions? :/
I’ve tried giving her other toys to bite on as well to redirect her attention but she’ll just keep nipping at my hand :/

I have same problem with my 6mo old bichon/yorkie mix.
Like yours he doesn’t respond to saying NO or STOP.
Thought it was because of teething but when big teeth cane in
    he still continued to nip.

Vet suggested a spray bottle of water, and spray him
when he bites so I am going to try that.

    Hopefully it will work.
